Curtis Newbold of The Visual Communication Guy created the above infographic which cleverly displays and discusses the seven deadly sins of punctuation. Curtis quite right states in his post: So, if you know someone who just throws commas, periods and colons around all over the place you send them this! We’re just saving them from the eternal torment of punctuation purgatory; it’s not an easy job but someone has to do it. A woman, without her man, is nothing. A woman: without her, man is nothing. Two perfectly fine sentences. Two completely different meanings. When punctuation gets messed up, so does the intended meaning of the writer.
