I’m not sure how – I’m going to assume intuition, cameras or wizardry- but it’s pretty worrying from a child;s perspective. You should never lie to your parents, or anyone really, but come on sometimes it’s just a thing kids do to try and secure some independence or to rebel. It’s actually quite comforting to think that even when kids think they’re being all devious and out smarting their parents like little secret agents, really parents are probably fully aware of what we’re doing and allow us to continue anyway under their observation. Growth and independence is crucial, but so is making sure your child doesn’t end up in a gang where they tattoo your eyebrows on.
